ABOUT KASINI PLANT

or Buzoor - e - Allah is the Arabian name for the Kasini plant
1400 years back prophet, Mohammed (Sal) identified this herb,
as a vegetable and medicine for life taking diseases. Prophet
of Allah says, "Everyday the drops of Paradise fall on kasini
plant. Those who consume it every day will get good sleep and
will be kept away from the evil effects of diseases, witchcraft
and poisoning"(source:Abu Nayeem).
Thousands of reference books are available in Arabic, Persian
and Urdu literature regarding Kasini plant Government of India,
Ministry of Health and Family welfare under The Central Council
for Research in Unani medicine, New Delhi, Unani Medical colleges
and hospitals, Unani and Arabic Physicians all over the world
are using the kasini herbs for kidney and liver disorders.
Dr. Akbar Kausar is a Unani physician, qualified in Arabic language
(Madras university), Urdu language (Madras University) besides
English and Tamil. The Government of Tamil Nadu appointed him
as a Unani expert to translate the B.U.M.S. Unani Degree Course
Syllabus from Urdu, Arabian and Persian language to Tamil. He
successfully translated the book and handed over the same to the
Hon'ble Health Minister.

herbal gardens in Vaniyambadi. Kasini is his personal interest
He imported Kasini seeds from Arabian countries and developed
it in his Mughal Garden .
He cultivate kasini in his own farm, Manufactures Special Kasini
Powder, Special Kasini Capsule, Kasini Hero, Kasini Pain Relief
Balm and Arabian Oil in his Pharmacy.
Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu exempted Dr. Akbar Kausar's
Kasini and its by-products from Sale Tax. In the Tamil Nadu Assembly
Hon'ble Agricultural Minister appealed that all the M.L.As to
propagate Dr, Akbar Kausar's Kasini and encourage the farmers
to cultivate in large in their area.
Kasini is a Unani herb. It is not the Chicory plant which is mixed
with coffee. Chicory root is harmful. It is a band plant In India.
Some people identifies wrong plants like Chicorium Indiva and
jungle kasini (Kakad chadda) as-kasini. It is not Palak and not
Pulichi keerai. It is purily Hinduba. Its green leaves, seeds,
stems, flowers, roots all are having medicinal value.
As per the classical Arabian literature, Kasini plant in winter,
it is cold and humid ; in summer, it is hot and dry; in spring
and autumn, it is moderate.
A joint project was designed by Avinashilingam University, Coimbatore
and
Dr. Akbar Kausar's Al- Kausar Herbal Hospitals Pvt Ltd. at a cost
of Rupees Five Lakhs to make a scientific research of the Special
Kasini Powder, Special Kasini Capsule and tablets on Diabetes.
