                                                                         HYPOGLYCAEMIA

     LOW BLOOD SUGAR

There can also be low blood sugar in rare cases, not related to diabetes. Probably, for some reason like a pancreatic tumour, or a liver disorder, the pancreas may produce too much insulin, these are usually mild cases and improve with proper diet and treatment.
This is different from the case of the insulin-dependent diabetic here one does eat properly and hence gets low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia) and in that conditions he/she should take some sweet substance immediately to over come the insulin shortage.

WHAT TO DO WHEN BLOOD SUGAR FALLS?

When the sugar in the blood falls to a low level, the condition is known as hypoglycaemia. Diabetics taking insulin injections may sometimes get into this condition. Then they may feel dizzy, sweat a lot, become unsteady and disturbed, appear to be drunk and faint. The patient himself or herself can recognize these warning signals. They should immediately take some sugar or sweet substances. Insulin dependent diabetics should keep a lump of sugar or candy in their pocket or handbag to meet such occasions and to cut short the gravity of the attack. Otherwise there is a possible risk that they may go into coma (unconsciousness from which the person cannot be awakened). Such persons appears to be drunken person on the road and nobody would know to give them, the sugar they need or rush them to hospital. People who are prone to hypoglycaemic attacks usually wear a bracelet or carry a card stating that they are diabetic and the necessary treatment is with them if they are found unconscious.
Stevia green (Sweet Kasini) controls low blood sugar problem (Hypoglycaemia). Regular use of stevia powder orally with water or as herbal tea daily thrice cheeks the low blood sugar and keeps the sugar level to normal condition always.
