DIABETES AND HYPERTENSION

Diabetes and hypertension are said to be close friends. Fifty percent the diabetics suffer from high blood pressure.

Symptoms:

Dizziness, swelling, accompanied with nausea and vomiting, slight edema of ankles, palpitation are the notable symptoms of hypertension.

If the B.P apparatus records systolic B.P above 180 and diastolic BP above 100 it is considered a case of hypertension, which requires regular management and salt restriction.

UNANI TREATMENT

The powdered Sarpa gandhi (Raulfia serpentina) is available in the form of pills named Asraufin. Use the pills as per the advice of your Unani physician.

Diabetes kill the eyes. Since diabetes is a disease that affects nerves and blood vessels, so, the nerves of the eyes are also affected.

The micro circulation of retina is affected by the rupture of retinal blood vessels which results in haemmorage and blockage of the path
way of vision which appears on the retina.

If proper treatment is not given it will lead to permanent blindness. Better consult your eye doctor and Unani physician.

Amla, Kasini and Triphala are advised to improve the eye-vision and to prevent diabetic retinopathy.
